MIGHTY MIKE™ Urine & Feces (U&F) Tablets - Bacterial additive tablets for low-flow aerobic or anaerobic wastewater systems including: septic systems, single-home aerobic treatment units, holding tanks and marine sanitation devices.

MIGHTY MIKE™ U&F tablets contain a special formulation of CLASS I bacteria designed to break down and consume human waste. Once introduced into the waste holding tank, the tablet immediately dissolves, releasing a large bacterial population that will begin to feed on the surrounding waste and multiply (double) every 20-40 minutes.

With a pre-measured amount of bacteria pressed into each tablet, there is no measuring, pouring or spilling of hazardous liquids. We've literally done all the work for you. The MIGHTY MIKE™ U&F Tablet can simply be flushed down the toilet or tossed into a troubled area. If desired, tablets can also be dissolved in water and poured down a drain.

Typical Applications

Bacteria Kill: All biological treatment systems rely on bacteria and other micro-organisms to treat wastewater. These organisms can be inadvertently killed by such household products as liquid fabric softener, bleach, Lysol, Pine-Sol, and other disinfectants. Once the toxic chemical is flushed out of the system, the bacteria will begin to grow again. During this growth period, untreated and partially treated waste will be discharged. To protect drain fields and avoid violating discharge regulations, the use of MIGHTY MIKE can re-start the culture with no delay.

Hydraulic Overload: Many small wastewater systems are susceptible to hydraulic overloads. High flows can prevent the establishment of bacteria in a system due to a lack of retention time. Additionally, surge loads often force untreated wastewater into the effluent. Regular addition of MIGHTY MIKE U&F tablets ensures proper bacterial innoculation despite these overloads.

Light-Loading and No-Loading: To acheive optimum treatment performance, all wastewater systems need a consistent supply of incoming sewage (food) to maintain a healthy bacterial culture. During periods with very light loading or no loading at all, the bacterial population can die off resulting in poor treatment performance. Regular use of MIGHTY MIKE helps to maintain the culture or recharge the culture in the event of endogenous respiration. For new systems, MIGHTY MIKE U&F tablets accelarate bacterial innoculation.

Usage Guidelines
During periods of light loading or no loading, add one MIGHTY MIKE™ U&F tablet, per 500 gallons of water, per week. If recharging an existing system or starting a new system, add two tablets, per 500 gallons of water, every four days for 16 days. Check the effluent quality. If water quality standards are being met, switch to normal dosage. If quality is still below normal, continue adding two tablets every four days for an additional 8 days.
