Advantages of SCIENCO® Tablets
Micro-ingredients such as seasonings, food additives, calcium chloride, EDTA, vitamins and minerals are often hard to control because of the small amount used in many food processes. Minor variations in the amount of micro-ingredients added can result in much more noticeable variations in the flavor, texture or appearance of canned foods, therefore the canner requires a reliable method for assuring maximum accuracy and consistency in the incorporation of these materials. By pre-blending one or several micro-ingredients into a basic Scienco tablet, you transform many different and expensive processes into one, simple operation.

Even better, the SCIENCO® Tablet and Depositor system permits you to know in advance just what your seasoning cost will be (including the rental of the dispensing equipment). You, in turn, have the assurance of consistent product quality, batch after batch after batch.

Food Processors use a variety of micro-ingredients in canned foods and beverages that could be more effectively incorporated in tablet form, either alone or in combination with salt or other micro-ingredients.

Examples:

• Acidulants and/or Sequestrants - Citric acid, EDTA, fumaric acid, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium citrate, sodium hexametaphosphate and sodium tripolyphosphate.
• Seasonings and Flavorings – Onion, garlic, celery seed, parsley, other natural spices and flavorings.
• Flavor Enhancers – Disodium inosinate, glutamic acid and monosodium glutamate.
• Chemical Preservatives – Ascorbic acid, calcium ascorbate, potassium sorbate, sodium ascorbate, sodium benzoate and stannous chloride.
• Sweeteners – Sugar, glucose, invert sugar, calcium cyclamate, calcium saccharin, potassium cyclamate, sodium cyclamate and sodium saccharin.
• Firming Agents – Calcium chloride, calcium citrate, calcium hydroxide, calcium lactate, calcium phosphate and calcium sulfate.
