The SCIENCO® FLOCRON® Liquid Injection System
FLOCRON is an automated liquid injector designed to dispense an exact quantity of viscous liquid into individual cans, jars or bottles during the food canning/bottling process. Flocron systems are widely used for adding such liquids and ingredients as: water, brine, citric acid, calcium chloride, oils and sauces. Flocron systems handle line speeds up to 400 cans per minute.

FLOCRON Components
The major Flocron components, shown below, are as follows: (A) Liquid Dispensing Head; (B) Gravity Tank; (C) Photo Lever Assembly, and (D) Control Cabinet. It is also necessary to provide a Flocron with the proper Recirculating Pump (E) and Return Tank (F). Click on the diagram to enlarge.

These accessory items are available from Scienco/FAST® Systems or existing plant items may be used if they are properly sized to match the requirements of the particular Flocron installation.
The Flocron provides a unique and efficient method for injecting small volumes of liquid. It has many industrial applications, but the most common is the dispensing of concentrated salt brine to a food processor's line. In a typical installation the Flocron cycle is started by the presence of a container on the process line, at the point of liquid dispensing. An accurate volume is then diverted into the passing container by the Dispensing Head. This operation is repeated each time a container passes the Flocron Photo Lever Assembly. |
